Goodness gracious!

It's lovely SuperSteve!

I totally agree with Amelia! What can follow that great comment? :)

Smiles, GG:)

Good morning GG! Cambridge is a crowded place... but here, on this day, there were so few visitors... Amelia would have had the time and the space for her contemplations!

The architecture of Clare College is remarkable.. as is so much of Cambridge University. I have some other photo's of Clare College.. I will post them soon.

So glad you liked this...

Cheers

Such an elegant gate Steve simple but so effective. Taken in this light it's just amazing.

You should consider to tag it with Gates. I Like this one!

Happy Easter, Erik

Hiya Erik! - The light and shadow was the attraction... and having so few fellow visitors gave me the time to think about how to take the ..

An excellent idea about using a Pano tag....

Thanks for the kind words.. and the *like..

Cheers

An excellent study in perspective, Steve! Great contrast and so well balanced, I spent ages looking at the enlarged version. I love it! Theolfa

Hiya Theolfa! Well, how grand is that? Thank you Theolfa... As I mentioned in a previous post, on my way into the quad, I walk straight past this scene... I just did not see it. Fortunately I must have cranked my eyes open a wee bit more on my way out...

The shadows cast by the gates were definitely striking but so too, was how the curves of the stonework, and wrought iron... It seems to me the curves of the upper regions of the gates seem to morph into the trees beyond...

Hi there Joy! Thanks for the fulsome praise for this... :-)

When I passed through the gates (from outside to within) I did not see this scene.. it was only on my way out did I notice it...

I was so lucky there were few visitors about... usually Clare College is heaving with fellow visitors...

Cheers
