Thanks for your visit, Morrique. This is indeed a scan from a slide. I use a CanoScan FS-4000US to digitize my film images. I don't think it is made anymore and haven't seen a replacement in the Canon line. From my reading, the Nikon Coolscan scanners appear to be the favored film scanning product these days though they are more expensive than the Canon. bhphotovideo.com, in NYC, has a selection of film and flatbed scanners that you could compare.
