The streets of Alexandria

Alexandria is the greatest cities of the Mediterranean world and the second largest city of Egypt with a population of 4.1 million. Alexandria was the capital of Egypt from its founding by Alexander the Great in 332 BC until its surrender to the Arab forces in AD 642. Today is the principal seaport and a major industrial centre of Egypt. Hellenistic Alexandria was famous for the Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and for the Great Library now replaced by a modern one.
