Il Monte Peglia è situato nell'Appennino Centrale umbro, ha un'altezza di 837 metri e appartiene a un gruppo di rilievi che dividono il territorio di Orvieto dalla valle del Tevere.
*Fa parte dell'area del Parco del Monte Peglia e della Selva di Meana, una zona racchiusa tra i fiumi Fersinone e Chiani e dei torrenti Faena e Caldana.
*L'ambiente montano del Gruppo Peglia è caratterizzato da cerrete e estese pinete. Ricchissima la flora, calcolabile in oltre un migliaio di specie.
*La strada che lo percorre sulla cresta, offre panorami molto suggestivi.
