Also, could you please help type the name of the ox in Tamil? I would like to put it next to the Indian script too.

As per Hindu believes that Nandhi always face the god. Quite likely to be that the one in be Nandhi. While ox need not to face the God as you can see in this photo.

Hi Umapathy!

You know what, I found that Thai and Tamil scripts share some eerie similarity here, which I don't know how to explain. For example...

I wrote นนทิ.

You wrote நந்தி.

Can you see that similarity?

Thai alphabets evolved from Mon/Khmer scripts, which are also an adaptation of Southern Indian script.

I do see some similiarity. It's really intesting. I spend some time to gather some more information from wikipedia as well. May be because of Rajendra Chola?
