On full screen you will see that it was raining - or rather raining and snowing - at the time, Lyndon, so I was pleased to come away with such an image.
Thanks for your visit.

Truly wonderful to have you encourage my photography, Piotr. Thanks. I was delighted with the result of my climb up in the sleet in the hope of being able to photograph them.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful photo. L+F
I went to NZ as tourist in March 2014, I also saw the snow Parrot. It was in Franz Joseph glacier. It's beautiful and I really like bird watching.
I invite you to my group "wonderful wild, wonderful sceneries", a young but quite fast-growing (8 months old but already more than 70 members) group which's theme is nature.
Hi, Ian. Beautiful view. Wonderful shot. Like. Best regards, Sergey
A belated thank you, Edwards Wzkm. I am certainly pleased with the image.
Greetings Paul. I haven't seen a snow parrot. Throughout my visits to New Zealand, I have always felt the lack of birds. I am not sure of the populations of birds there, but in Australia there are birds about all the time. I was able to photograph a few birds in NZ especially a few that are endemic, this being the best of my images. And thank you for the invitation to join your group. [I am not very active on Pano lately, partly due to technology changes for my favourite camera and my computer software are now incompatible due to age difference.]
All the best,
I appreciate your response, Sergey. It was a special display they performed for me. Greetings from Australia,
Glad you appreciate this special moment, Ediponc.
Such a beautiful photo! Like - My best wishes.
Thank you, Christos. I enjoyed my time up the mountain among the keas.
Best wishes for the new year.
