The West Coast of South Island is especially green, Berend and warmer than one might expect. I enjoyed our travels through changing weather, allowing us to encounter different moods. Hokitika is not too far from here and is about the wettest part of NZ, yet last time I saw it, it was fine, dry and sunny. Not so this time, and I was pleased: it's good to be in the wettest town and get the heaviest rainfall while we were there!

Thanks for your appreciation.

Your NZ photos make me want to play the CD soundtrack La Leçon de piano (The Piano), which I bought second-hand long ago, again while enjoying the scenery. Unlike most Thais, I love listening to classical music whether it is Thai, Chinese or Western.

Your comment made me relive the beauty of the sound track and the power and passion of the plot of The Piano, Ah-Pong. As I photographed one of the NZ beaches (Bruce Bay) recently I was thinking of the opening scenes from The Piano. I will be uploading those photos in due course and will make reference again to the film. Thank you for bringing it alive for me again.
