Charlecote.... was the first great 'Elizabethan' Manor house to be built in 'Warwickshire..The original 'Tudor' brickwork and glazing, still remains in the gatehouse..Sir Thomas Lucy' began building in 1551..although the estate has been in the Family since 1247...It is still today, the Family home of the 'Fairfax-Lucy's..with the present Baronet and family living in a part of the house....
