Congleton Station House

Though this building is now a private house, it was probably originally for the station master or the crossing-keeper in the early days of Congleton Railway Station, to which it is immediately adjacent. The picture is taken from the road bridge built in the 1960s to obviate the need for a level crossing, and passes over the Macclesfield Canal at the same point.
