Hi! he is my mother's father. Came to Israel circa 1920 from "Ostrov Mozovietsky" in Poland (not sure about the spelling). He was one of the first people to build a "kibutz", where he spent all his life.

Oronbb, I found your spelling of "Ostrov Mozovietsky" very interesting...it is Slovak spelling and means Mozovietsky (name of a person) Island. I guess Polish spelling would be Ostruw Mozoviecki. I wonder, if the place is in Slovakia or in Poland, since their borders moved so many times in the course of history.

Hi! Sadly he is not with us anymore. His wife (my mom's mother) and my mother are not alive too. Me and my brothers believe it is a city/ large town located north east of Warsaw - in Poland. I found (internet) an old book which we believe was written there. If it is the same place - the spelling is: "Ostrowi-Mazwieckiej" - but I am not sure about the language. The book text itself is written in "old Hebrew".

Thanks for visiting and Happy New Year.

Now this last spelling is Polish and yes, there is a such place in Poland. How interesting is a migration of people and what events forced them to leave their country. I am sure your memories of them are priceless.

He was motivated by the strongest force of them all - He had a dream!

Hi, Oronbb, this is a really historical picture. He seems so young, but as you said, he had a dream, this is the only motor of the Life. Greetings from Buenos Aires. Cristina
