Good job! It is a nice bike. Yours?
Nice job, Virus! Draws attention to the bike very nicely. Sometimes you take a photo because you notice a color, and that color doesn't seem as strong when you look at it later. This technique can make the photograph actually closer to your first impression.
You can use the fuzzy selection tool also to help erase more quickly (the one that looks like a magic wand). I always make sure to zoom to at least 300% to erase along the edges with a small brush. Look close up at the back fender. While the image is still in layers, you can reverse any mistakes you see (Alt+Erase will un-erase), but once you flatten it, they're stuck there. What I do, especially on difficult images, is save it while it still has the layers in it (Save-as Gimp .xcf file), then go on to flatten and save as jpeg as well. This way, if you notice a mistake later, you can easily re-open the .xcf file which still has your layers and previous work in it.
Very good start! Greetings, Ryan
