Serpocaulon catharinae (Langsd. & Fisch.) A.R. Sm.. Vista abaxial da folha fértil (cada círculo é um soro, e cada soro é formado por vários esporângios, que por sua vez contêm esporos). Informações adicionais sobre pteridófitas brasileiras (samambaias e plantas afins) podem ser obtidas na página sobre pteridófitas do Departamento de Botânica da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Serpocaulon catharinae (Langsd. & Fisch.) A.R. Sm.. A common epiphytic fern in Southern and Southeastern Brazil. Fertile leave: abaxial view (each circle is a sorus, each sorus contains various sporangia and each sporangium contains spores). Additional informations on Brazilian pteridophytes (ferns and fern allies) can be obtained on the website about pteridophytes of the Botany Department, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (in portuguese). A photo of the whole plant can be seen here.
