Hiya François - This is a bit of an experiment... It is an HDR shot but combined with a B&W version... it has the effect of softening the colours... also, this is the east window of the Church so there is no sunlight going through the glass....

Perhaps I should try to get here in the morning!

Cheers

Hiya Marion! Ooh it's been a long time since someone called me "lovely Steve" ! Ah... perhaps you meant the photograph :-(

As for where Kate Middleton hales from I think it is in Yorkshire somewhere.. We live in Suffolk - a county considerably flatter than Yorkshire and to the south and east... Checkout Bury St. Edmunds on Wiki and that will give you an idea.

Yorkshire is beautiful. I have been there a number of times and loved every minute of it... while Suffolk may be relatively flat, it has charms of its own...

I watched them tie the knot today... lovely stuff - I wish them well.

Thanks for the like :-)

Hiya SuperSteve!

What an excellent treatment! It gives such a peaceful feeling to the whole scene, just as it should! I like it very much!!

OH!! They got hitched, did they? I hadn't noticed.. it's not like it's on every single channel here in Canada, or anything ;D LOLOL! She's much too pretty for him, but that's been said before... :))) I wish them a "Happily Ever After"!

Smiles, GG:)))

Hiya Karin - The time to catch this window at its best is in the morning but the Church is still locked when I go past... The quality of the window however, makes a special trip worthwhile...

All that said, I am chuffed you liked it :-) Thanks, as always, for stopping by..

Cheers

Steve

Hiya GG!! Yes, oh yes, they did get hitched... I switched off my telly and pulled the plug but the coverage still appeared....

"She's much too pretty for him"??? Well, leaving the blatant sexsim of the comment aside for a mo' I think the BBC think they are both a little odd... After the wedding, they broadcast Shrek of all things.. Are they trying to tell us something? Perhaps the BEEB (BBC) reckon William is an Ogre and Kate is a closet ogre....

To be fair, I watched it and loved the whole thing. I hope their time together is a little less fraught than the rest of Liz's kids...

Ah!! This photo! Chuffed you liked this... although it is worth trying to get there in the morning... I should imagine the widow would be all but on fire with the sun lighting up the glass...

I hope you are having a wizard weekend..

Cheers

This looks so soft and inviting...pulls you right in! Like!

Hi there Joy - Pakenham is a lovely village not far from where we live. The church is quite a grand affair - owing some of its features to the patrimony of past landowners...

The West window is glorious... and the soft light passing through lit the west end with a lovely light...

Glad you enjoyed it.. and thanks for the like

cheers

Steve
