Greetings Billy, I did try tighter cropping but the depth of field made the focus kind of blurry on the tighter stuff. And it began to pixelate so I gave up. Any way, that was my shot at it. Glad you like the zestier colors.

I don't know what it is but I love rusty things, whether it's the colours or just imagining who used them before. This is a lovely shot Rich,

Greetings Palmina, It is nice getting insights from other members of the community as to just what this thing might be. I think air cleaner is the best choice so far. Over the years most of the mining equipment has been carted off around Colorado. Just a few things remain in Mayflower Gulch. Thanks for visiting and your wonderful comments.

Really interesting, Rich. Great colors and texture!

Greetings Eve, Thanks for visiting the oil bath air cleaner I stumbled across up at Mayflower Gulch. It is cropped from an earlier picture and photo shopped with some color saturation. The original was shot in some pretty flat light. Glad you like old ghosty things from the past. This was one of the treasures from a stomp up to the old mining site.
