Hancock Museum & Visitor's Center, Historic National Road, MD Route 144, 42 West Main Street, Hancock, MD, circa 1920

This is a two story masonry commercial building with Mission style influences. The structure has six bay storefront with fixed pane units. The second floor has a walk-out balcony enclosed by an iron railing, with three sets of French doors. The exterior is brick and stucco and the building does appear on the 1923 Sanborn map. It represents Hancock's commercial and residential construction boom of the early 20th century.
