Thanks for Your early visit! :)

Brussel is one of cities where I changed my minds about place. After my first downtown visit last year where I have very limited time to see, I was thought than there is nothing else for walk except only Grote Markt, "Maneken corner" and few very central areas. But now in this visit I have more time and discovered than there are many wonderfull pearls well hidden behind very first impressions!

What was little confused me in Brussels? Old- medieval street style directions!

There are almost no linear street lines like in many other rebuild towns. (London? Paris?). Beside of some confusion on right directions, it means also lot of fun to walk - You can follow one street, but it not means later, You will reach very soon Your expected point of interest.

While visit Brussel, must have either GPS or very good hand map in pocket. :)

Cheers, ainars.

P.s. Meanwhile in this photo we can see small hotel "la Madelaine" where I spent one night from my last year visit. Hotel was tiny and not with lot of comfort but clean and easy to find. You can see from location, it is located in very heart of old town. 3 min to walk from centre of old town! 5 min to walk from train station Brussel-Central!
