Sun Temple (Chinese: 日 坛, pinyin Rìtán) - Temple in Chaoyang District in Beijing, China. It is called the temple park Zhitan (日 坛 公园) Tszyangomen historic district to the east of the Forbidden City. Sun Temple (Chinese: 日 坛, pinyin Rìtán) - Temple in Chaoyang District in Beijing, China. The temple was built in 1530 during the Ming Dynasty for the ritual sacrifice of the Emperor of China Sun.
