In this region, some more south-west, we went by car to Lands End, centuries ago. We (3 guys in a Renoult R4) came to St. Maves - Ferry. The one of us didn´t want to go this way. When he finally naped, we took the chance, rolled on the boat, and found him awakening in Falmouth, wondering how we got this done - he really was angry with both of us. :((

I did the jouney from St. Mawes to Truro by boat, and it was like watching paint dry! It was the longest and most tedious journey I have ever experienced :-(( The only pleasure was a lovely dog onboard who was irresistable and it helped. It was a dull day, the river so wide we could barely see the sides, and we travelled at such a slow speed we could have walked faster!! Possibly I should have napped :-))))

A better idea just to take the boat to Falmouth! :-))
