West Riding

There were only 2 rooms and hallway to look around as the rest is holiday lets, but very interesting. I learnt that there was once a clock tax!! Never knew that. Not public clocks though!

oh wow really lovely truly English manor house, really well composed and just a beautiful photo, like a lot,

btw I got a telephone call this evening , I have a photo of Fountains Abbey at an exhibition in my village , is an old one, have it not digital , but this man was so enthousiastic about it , he is a recordproducer and wanted to know where I took the picture, he wants to make a videoclip there, :) , hope he gets permission ! best wishes to you Rosa

Many thanks Anne. It was left to the National Trust as the lady had no living relatives and a large part of the house is let for holidays by the trust as in many of their houses now and not too expensive either. Thanks for your visit. Best wishes, Rosa.
