Storm damaged bridge - Sept. 2002

Hard to believe if you weren't there but the water came over the bridge - this was the day after. It started to rain around noon on the Sunday and lasted for 24 hours. A continuous thunder storm which seemed to go back and forth across the valley. Fortunately we were in the campsite at the top of the hill (Camping Les Cascades) and apart from the transformer in the caravan being blown were OK. We couldn't get out of the village for a couple of days but survived without electricity and hot showers - in fact when we left Monsieur didn't charge us. Sadly I believe several people were killed and many businesses ruined.
