320 feet high! I decided to include my feet (=322 in total) in the shot so that it would be obvious to the viewer what was going on. No, I'm not plummeting to my death, feet first!
The 'Walk of Faith' is made of plate glass, with 320 feet separating your two from the ground. Visitors are encouraged to walk on it and their reaction can be very varied. Some people go at it with abandon, some put as much distance between them and the glass as possible. Some lean over to take a look, clutching the nearest support; some have to be cajoled by their partners into taking the plunge(!).
But children are just children; they dash on and off, playing games of 'dare' with each other.

Thanks for your explanation--and observations. It took a few moments before the tension went out of my body! neat shot!

Hi Marilyn :) I'm glad the photo managed to send a bit of a shiver down your spine!
Even though I did my best not to show it to my girlfriend, I did experience a little bit of trepidation as I stepped on!!

Great shot! It really makes me scary just looking at it. There's one place I have to go to someday.

Hallo Mark. What a scary shot! I coudn't walk there, I have any chance...
Ciao, Franco

Yeah, Franco - it's a weird feeling... your head tells your legs to move onto it but some prehistoric, deeply felt emotion, somewhere in your tummy, battles for control of your legs and, in the confusion, they turn a bit to jelly!!

@Vasco: don't forget to take your camera!!

Oh man! The Calgary Tower has one of those things too! I couldn't bear to get on it, let along take a photo of my feet looking down. Good for you!

Hi Nawitka :) Well, you've got to be brave in front of your girlfriend - not sure I would have done it on my own!!
A friend and his family went on holiday to Toronto and told me about it. I must check out google earth to see if there are any piccies there...

Your pic must have been taken a bit before mine.. If you look at mine (on Panaoramio) the small squre roof top infront of your feet has an outline of a body on it in white. Spooky..

ps It's 380ft not 320....Long way down..
There's a big yellow sign next to the window with drop on it.
highton-ridley, on March 8, 2008, said:
Hi again Piggy - wasn't the 380 the height to the top of the tower and the 320 to the plate glass? Or am I having a senior moment?
Piggy53, on March 27, 2008, said:
Sorry mate, Glass floor is 380 ft and top of tower is 158m or 518ft...
My pic has been refused entry to Google but yours is OK ???? Have sent them a message... After all its nearly the same pic.

If that's 322 feet from the ground, why is the Tower said to be 520ft tall?

Been on it few times, not that scary though. It's nice to know the toughned glass protects us from breaking our ankles, at the very least. Nice views from top though. Good shot:-)
