Fantastic aerial view,Marilyn. Greetings Daniela
Thanks, Daniela. It was a fantastic sight. It was spring in New Zealand, but not for those mountains!
WOW marilyn, wonderfull aerial, so detailed, if it wasn't for the clouds it could look like wrapped tinfoil to look like moutains on a model.
Thank you, Alex. I take a window seat if I can, and I try to have my camera with me and ready to go. (I think we discussed this some time ago--a sunset you couldn't photograph, and amazing clouds I missed.) And this time I was rewarded.
Yes..that's right Marilyn, I missed that one...
Glad you made it this time, and you bet it was really worthfull.
what a wonderful photo Marilyn :o)
Thanks, Rom@nce. I like having a window seat because just once in a while you get to see something like this. (I guess I could call the break in the cloud cover a "lucky break"!) Cheers!
Greetings Marilyn, Thanks for the wonderful view of the mountains in New Zealand. They are so beautiful and rugged. I am glad you got the chance to see them and then share your adventures with us. Thanks for showing me your impressions of the world down under.
Greetings, Rich. I find that it greatly increases the pleasure of travel to be able to share my impressions with Panoramio friends. Thanks for being such a fine companion along the way!
Thanks, bodiegroup. It might be hard to get them to redesign the airplanes, but maybe we could campaign for cleaner windows!
It's like a dream!
Thanks for flying with me over New Zealand!
I have flown the Christchurch-Wellington route a number of times. On that flight sit by the left going up, and on the right flying down.
On the Auckland run, you can see out both sides.
All the times I have flown over this part of NZ, and I've never had my camera handy.
Just by chance we were on the left side heading north, and just by chances there was a well-placed break in the clouds. Though I don't usually find aerial shots satisfactory, I couldn't resist!
I think those mountain tops have just had their first sprinking of snow for the year.
Yep, summer is well and truely over (down here, that is)
Greetings from germany!
