Greetings from IRAN' Mahmood
Best regards from Berlin. Klaus
I like fog. Great shot. LIKE
Cheers from Hong Kong, Jeff
Thank you, Mahmood. I send greetings of peace and respect to you, from Australia.
Thanks for you appreciation, Klaus. The temperature inversion ensured that this sea fog had covered the city in a matter of minutes. It certainly reminded me of the times in the past when I would tuck a small child into bed for the night.
Thanks Jeff. You see plenty of fog at your place, so I understand your appreciation.
Very nice picture Ian. Greetings Berend
I enjoyed the gentle pastels of the evening Berend. Thanks.
Simple but impressive.

yes,... I had trouble to fly there from Auckland, because of the fog. had to wait two hours... not too bad
Thanks A.Ypeij. I enjoy the gentle and complementary colours.
Yes Geerten - you know the reality of this gentle beauty. Ground visibility gets very low.
very impressive L+YS
Thanks and greetings, Sig. I watched the sea fog roll in till it covered Christchurch and the plains below.
And ECAN, and the CCC will tell us 'it is from all the open fires...'
What bloody bull S*! 2/3rds of the chimneys in the east of the city fell down in the 22 Feb earthquake. DID THEY CAUSE THE SMOKE....?
I honestly don't think the ecan, has any idea at all. The fog is ground caused, not from fires in houses.
Most house heating today is heatpumps or plain old bar or column heaters in the city. (do they cause smoke, ecan & ccc..?)
I watched this blanket of sea fog roll in across the eastern suburbs, then shroud the CBD and finally covering the western suburbs, so unless there are many coal-fired ships sitting outside Port Lyttelton then there is little smoke in this fog!
Hope the snow has all gone from Chch, now!! Time to warm up!
