Maurizio Cattelan's L.O.V.E in front of Palazzo Mezzanotte-Stock exchange - La fine delle ideologie

The work created by Cattelan intent depicts a hand in the fascist salute, but with all the severed fingers - as if eroded by time - except for the middle finger, which makes them visually depict the gesture of the raised middle finger gesture generally considered obscene. The hand at the same time would be an act of disrespect to the symbol of fascism, both in the world of finance. This raised finger was thought by Cattelan to fuck off to the stock exchange building with all the bankers on the inside, which he deemed responsible to have accelerated the global economic crisis.
