We had just spent about 8 days in the Tombstone Territorial Park about 250 km south of here doing day hikes in cloudy and rainy weather. We had enough of that and decided to drive about 300km north to Eagle Plains to see if the weather was any better. It was!
The view here extends unobstructed for nearly 180 kms (to left) down the Ogilvie-Peel river system. The fall colors are just coming into their peak form here on September 4th. I like the yellow stripes on the hill across the valley. You might have to look at the large view to see them.
