Spout Cove is an abandoned comunity. It's located just before Kingston. The road going down to the cove is rough, but it can be navigated by car. There are many thigs to explore here; an awesome beach, an extensive history, and an old graveyard. As well, many historical features are still visible, such as; trenches from old vegetable gardens, tracks going up the grassy hill from the Hell's Angels motorcycles, and concrete from an old swimming pool.

If you look in that old graveyard, you will see my father's forebears...who came from Christchurch in Dorset, England. (Surname: TRICKETT)

Hello speculate, My great grandmother was a Trickett who moved to Massachusetts from Spout Cove in about 1900. How bizarre! I'm looking for genealogy info. Post here again and we can try to connect?

Spout Cove was deeded to John Trickett, the first Trickett to be in Spout Cove, by Queen Victoria. The coast of the cove still belongs to the Trickett family.

George-
My Grandfather left Spout Cove in the early part of the 20th C. (he was born in 1892 to Albert & Hannah (BUdden) Trickett who had 8 or 9 children.
How long is the coast? Do the Trickett's actually have legal claim to the land?

My mother is the daughter of Ethel Trickett, grandmother Sarah. Took my 85 year old Mom from the states to Spout Cove 5 years ago. It was magic. Searching for the Mitchell's from Portugal Cove. Ethel married Willis from there and moved to the Boston area.
