Hi Peter A cracking shot here in the sun you must have been befor I arrived here.a YSL on it.Best wishes Alan
Thanks very much Alan, for the visit and the star. You are right, this was the first one of the day. I stayed here for the sheep and the
'Duke', then went to Green End. First one there was 45428 + 45407, which you saw at Darnholm.
Shame we missed each other by such a narrow margin. We'll get it right next time!!
Great location Peter ~ bridges, arches, curves and steam ~ a rattling good shot ~ YSL from me and best wishes for the weekend ~ nick
Thought I'd seen this but then I realised>>> same place different train. I LIKE such an interesting spot to these fine loco's. I think I would be happy to wait for one or two to go by!
Hi Judith & Nick, thank you both for visiting, the nice words, the stars and 'likes' Sorry for late response, I've been away for work.
This must be about the most photographed location on the line, so yes Judith, same place different loco! On gala days there are guys that will sit here all morning. There is also a farm house with a gorgeous tree in pink blossom off shot to the right. I could not find a way to get that in as well, much as I would have liked too.
Excellent take Peter..That is such a fine loco and the Darnholm location is perfect..
Thank you Jim,
I have had another quick look at your gallery, and from the places you've been, I guess you must know these moors very well indeed!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I can only say: Wonderful!
Thank you for visiting one of the most popular places on this railway for photographs. I am pleased that you like it. Thank you!
