Greetings Berend. This landscape is so un-Dutch that it must have the sense of the exotic about it for you. But yet there is the inextricable entanglement with the sea that you have in common with the people of these Marlborough Sounds: boats and water, the abounding marine life, and the harvest of the marine aquaculture farms.

The exotic trees amidst the native bush splashes colour upon the scene.
