Fantastic photo! Is this from inside a church? Your title is right; I can almost hear a crackle from an open fireplace in the background and a couple of lazy Irish Wolfhounds lying around on the stone floor. Just my imagination running away with me. :-)
Cheers shieldc

Hi, yes it's from inside the church, so sorry I can't recall the name. Many of the people that were killed at the battle of Flodden field (Between Scottish and English armies) in 1513 are buried in the church yard. Regards, Anita

I just read about this battle on Wikipedia. It's very interesting for me, as I'm not that familiar with English history. Now I also understand the title better.

Hi Nick, yes, it's a rape field. There was a great sense of sadness around the battle site. I always feel for the families of the fallen. Regards, Anita
