There's five tides acting independently at the point here. Consequently you can see anything from a flat calm sea to a 3ft standing wave. But there's no way of predicting this. I spent days and weeks 10 years ago fishing the point in my dinghy. Sometimes I was frightened by this unpredictable area of sea.
