This is very beautiful, with the light striking on the side of the rock face. I love how it glows orange! What a reward for being here so early. Cheers, Ryan

Thank you, Syl, Ryan, and Tamás. I'm not by nature an early riser, but we were well rewarded for our efforts that morning! Greetings, Marilyn

This is a nother beauty Marilyn.

The first morning light always gives us some nice colours...I like this a lot.

Cheers, Alex

Thanks, Alex. I'm old enough to remember the little instruction sheet that came inside each box with the roll of colour film. It warned you against taking pictures the first two hours after sunrise and the last two hours before sunset. Think how much less interesting Panoramio would be if everybody followed that advice!!! Cheers, Marilyn

Marilyn, excellent photo, beautiful composition! I love the light on the red rock, the tree with its branches and twigs as a frame, forming an arch and counterpoint to the solid rock! Y*! I love it!

Heartfelt thanks, May, for finding this! I am enjoying the barns and lakes of Wisconsin right now, but it is so good to be reminded of the vivid colours and very different sights of the Australian outback! I took a fair number of pictures as the early morning light hit the rocks here, but this was my favourite for just the reason you state. Special thanks for the Y*. Very best wishes, Marilyn
