This picture demonstrates how downtown is trying to create "community". This is a picture of a park setting. A park is a social place where stranger can interact. It doesn’t limit who is allowed, it has not gates, everyone is allowed there. It is a park that is aesthetically pleasing but it also fits in with its surroundings. It has plenty of tables and benches to sit at. It offers sun and shade too. It has trees and a fountain. As we see here two coworkers are enjoying some fresh air while on lunch break? How else can this park serve its community? What other things can people do in this kind of park?

A park can serve as a place for little kids to play.

Parks bring people together to relax and enjoy a breath of fresh air. You could take a nap in a park, walk a dog in a park, or sit and watch other people in a park.

A park can serve purpose for any function. You can meet people, study, smoke, or simply enjoy the fresh air.You can bring pets or just people watch at the park. Whatever you can think of…you can usually do at a park as long as it’s inside the means of respecting the other people who use it.
