This is depicting "challenges" that the City of Birmingham is facing. It is a picture of a lease sign. The sign is located in the lower level of a multilevel building. The owner does not want to sell just the bottom floor; he wants to sell the unit as a whole. Also, the owner doesn’t need the money, so he is not in a hurry to sell and he is not going to sell his place for cheap just to get rid of it. We see this more and more in Birmingham, buildings for lease that is. Why is it that buildings are for lease? Why isn’t Birmingham the place that all businesses are flocking to?
