Hi, Palmina.
Where do this train goes?
Cheers!

Erwin, this train travels from Belgrave in to Gembrook in Victoria. It is a tourist thing but many locals use it also to take a ride during the summer and stop for a picnic. The little stations that are set up on the ride are lovely and quaint, devonshire teas etc. It is a magical tour through the Dandenong Ranges just outside of Melbourne. The Dandenongs are full of tree fern gullys and massive gum trees. It is quite beautiful. The Dandenongs are the "foothills" to "The Great Dividing Range" which runs up the Southern East coast of Australia. It's about 40 minutes from home and we try to go up there when we can to feed the parrots in Sherbrooke Forrest.
Thanks for visiting, Palmina

this is nice that there are steam engines in your region. i mean we've got none here in murmansk. i saw them only once three years ago and they (there were two) were amazingly fantastic. now we have mainly electric locos.

Hi Vlad We only have a few steam trains in this areas now and they are mostly for tourists. We too have electric trains with no style or character. I miss the old trains. When I was younger, we used to stand on the railway bridge at home in England and wait for the steam trains to pass underneath. If we were lucky the engineer would let off his steam and cover us. I come from about a mile from where George Stephenson lived (the steam inventor) So we are quite fond of the old Engines.
I am going to go up into the hills to see Billy in a few weeks when we have visitors out from England so I will get some shots of him and the others for you.
Cheers Palmina
