I'm not trying to patronise or anything when I say this, but this is quite possibly the best amateur photograph I've seen; by someone who just had his eyes swapped, too. It's pretty bloody fantastical, Neil. Well done to you.

I never thought I would say this about an industrial site...but this is amazing, so much detail. Even the windfarm looks good in the distance (and I have a bit of a phobia of them!) The sky looks beautiful. Really like it :-))

Hiya Si. I know what you mean about patronising,i sometimes feel the same when i leave a comment. As far as i'm concerned its an honest opinion which is verymuch appreciated. I'm not sure about it being the best mate, but,i'm quite chuffed with the result myself (now the gremlins have gone,,i hope!!) I expected one or two hiccups with it being hand held at 200mm."Eyes swapped!!" aye,its amazing the difference two tiny pieces of plastic can make;-)

Thanks Si

Rosa, Industrial sites can make good subjects sometime, this one gives off a stink now and again, they're processing animal feed to make something. There's talk of building a windfarm off the coast at Redcar, some people aren't happy, its thought it will affect the wildlife,we'll have to wait and see i suppose.

Thanyou for your kind compliment Rosa;-)

Thanks very much Denise, it was the golden light coming through our window that grabbed me,i uploaded the wrong image at first, its a good job Si noticed it.I'm pleased its one of your faves!!;-)

Dee Wainwright on May 20, 2011

Neil Grimwood on May 20, 2011

Im not sure Denise, but it looks to be way past Hartlepool, i think you can see one from the A19 it dould be the same one.

I only noticed the lines because the image took just under three years to load in into my laptop. And as it was coming in I had plenty of time to move from left to right and have a good look.

Neil Grimwood on May 20, 2011

Aye, the eyes are ok **Ian thanks. Silly bugger me didn't check it after i uploaded, its good job hawkeye spotted it.It'll teach me to get rid of images i don't want in future.

I hope, when I get my eyes fixed, that I can take shots as good as this Neil ..It's damned good!

Top notch photo..

Best wishes!
