This was the setting for a german film set in world war 2. They didn't have to do much to make it realistic and were here filming for a week. Ironically most of Stockton (me included) didn't even notice the difference.
we bought our car near there :-)
Very nice capture.
Best Wishes from the USA,
Looks like South Bank and Grangetown. The two places I had my childhood in. Such fond memories... Yeah, right. I lived in a house on Uverdale Road in South Bank that was built before the war. The air raid sirens would go off to make the shift for British Steel, and it was so loud when you live right near it. And with all the war movies I grew up on, I was always scared of that damn siren.
See, the memories your picture invokes!
The Stockton blitz Kenny!! time for the bulldozers to move in i think, unless they want to film there again of course.
A 'Grim Places' deservee if ever there was one Kenny.
Soon it will be a shopping center. Careful what you wish for.
Cheers (in jest) - Jethro
No jest - well not quite a shopping centre however Aldi are using the adjacent land for a supermarket.
