Thanks, Larry. A moment is all it was. It had been raining all day. All week, really. Just as I sat down at the kitchen table for supper, the rain stopped and the sun streamed across under the clouds and hit this sycamore. Every green blade in the hayfield and every leaf along the riverbank took on that intense luminosity that comes only when sun and storm bump against each other. A few minutes later, the clouds closed and thunder began across the river, far enough away that it seemed the sound of a deep, contented purr.

Those are such wonderful moments. (I wish I had a view like that from my house - thanks for sharing yours!)

I do appreciate how lucky I am every time I hang laundry looking across this view. Yet many's the time your photos have made me wish I lived amidst the the views you share of mountains and oceanside. From you I have learned the value of photographing the same familiar places over and over because every moment is unique.

Thank you Penny! I am glad I was of help to you. Best regards, Larry

Great view and you're right, nice to see a sun these days. Not much of it since I came back from my trip.

But we are lucky not to be anywhere near Joplin, Missouri.

There is a store around the corner called Pennington. Everytime I walk or bike by, I am thinking of sending you a photo.
