Wow, that is really something. Is it a working church, so to speak? Very light inside and the lovely views not obscured by stained glass. L+YS. Cheers, Rosa.

Beautiful Steve, lovely light coming through the windows. I can see where I would be sitting now, in the pews for the lowly. LIKE, Cheers, LOZ

Greetings Dušan :-) So glad you liked this :-) thank you for stopping by...

Cheers

Steve

Hiya Rosa Grand to see you have stopped by :-) No, this Church has been "Interregnum" ('ows that for posh??!?) for some time now but the Churches Conservation Trust is maintaining it and opens it at weekends...

As you can see on the map, it is about half a mile from the nearest road so it dos not get too many visitors. This has to be one of the loveliest Churches I have found in my recent trawl of such places.

Thanks everso for the YS and Like :-)

Cheers

Steve

Hiya Loz - I reckon you are right about the best place to sit... It might be more draughty but you can see more from the pews...

Thanks for the like..

Cheers

Hiya Who :-) Short and sweet! I love it :-) Thank you

Hiya Marion (Or Marvellous Marion in GG's absence!) Are you casting 'Nasturtiums' at your sibling's religious convictions??

It has been difficult finding much in a the way of Pano time these past few weeks. Things are extreme at work... up to ours eyes on a huge IT project on the one hand and a shaky future on the other! Deep Joy!! Still, I am doing my best to look on the bright-side... and your wry comment about Loz on a Church pew bolsters that intent nicely!!

Thanks for the "big" like :-)

Cheers

Steve

Hello Lenka :-) Grand to see you have stopped by! Thanks for your visit, your like and kind words...

Hi there Emanuele - I am chuffed you liked this! Thanks everso for the kind words. I must admit that the fact you do like it surprised me a little :-) But hells-bells, how dull life would be without a surprise every now and then...

Cheers,

Steve

Hiya Karin :-) For such a small Church,we spent a long time here. Looking around the outside of it, you can see evidence of all sorts of changes that have been made to the structure over the years.

You speak of "mood" in your post... I find these old, small Churches have such a presence to them... If I have captured some of that in this photo, then that makes me more than chuffed!

Thanks for the like!

Cheers

Greetings Michael :-) Welcome back...

I love being inside these old Churches.... they may be small but they impress me just as much as their mightier brethren...

The sun that day did make wonderful patterns and shadows.. I am glad you liked the result!

The best argument for HDR/Tone Mapping I've seen. Another LIKE & Y*

Steven Stoddart on June 14, 2011

Aha!! Hiya MArk! Thanks everso for the YS and Like.. I know that HDR can be a contentious topic (as can a certain wise old saying) but with care, I think it can do wonders...

I am even more grateful for the scale of your approval for this... thanks again...

Cheers

Steve

Credit where credit is due, Steve. I really believe that HDR will be built into the next generation of digital cameras.
