Can you imagine driving hundreds and hundreds of kilometers through untouched wilderness like this? Or better yet, walking? The next settlement is 300 kilometers from here at Eagle Plains. Population 8.

If you ever get a chance to do travel in such a place, something good will lodge in your being and will never leave you. The opportunites to explore anywhere you like are endless. Do you want to see what is up in those hills? Then start walking! You might want to bring your bear-spray along...

As I look at this photo now on my computer, I am transported back to the wide silence of this place and remember the still freshness and the delight in strolling over the spongey vegetation. When you're in a place like this, there's something deep in your biology that remembers how good it is and this is where we've come from.
