Son Marroig, in the municipality of Deià, holds the "Arxiduc Lluís Salvador" museum. Son Marroig is one of the properties that Archduke Ludwig Salvatore of Austria (1847-1915) bought, after falling in love with the scenery of the North coast of Mallorca. The author of the work Die Balearen, reformed the old house, preserving the fortified tower of the XVI century, and carrying out Italian style extensions. He also built at one end of the garden the small neoclassic temple in marble from Carrara, that overlooks the Sa Foradada point, and on very clear days, the island of Sa Dragonera can be seen.
