Taken 5 Oct 2007 in the midday from Bell Harbour Marina. Currently you are viewing this from just a little south of Pier 66 and looking south towards Pier 62/63 -- another great place to take shots, particularly of the skyline. To see what this looks like from Pier 62/63, please see:

I am glad you like it. I love Seattle -- but I love other cities I have had the opportunity to visit, too. Hong Kong, Singapore, Vancouver. Would love to see New York City, London, Paris, Rome or Madrid, too. But while in the Navy I was mostly in the Pacific. Didn't ever get out to the Atlantic. Maybe in time.
Seattle is pretty small in comparison to those other cities. In fact I can just about walk around the perimeter of the whole of downtown in an hour and a half, and living on the edge of downtown, anywhere in perhaps half an hour. But it is scenic.
However, I walk fast -- picked it up while at Iowa State University in the late 1980s while going from one class to another and have tried to keep it up ever since. So the city isn't quite as small as my travel times might suggest.
Anyway, this was one of my first pictures -- at least since childhood. Didn't have a camera for quite a while -- even while I was in the navy. More recently I got into panoramas, but this will always be one of my favorites.
Oh!!! This is fantastic!!!!
That is one of my favorites -- and one of my early, early ones. I probably should have reduced the size of the photo I uploaded. At full magnification it is pretty blurry. But I like the reflections of the boats and skyscrapers.
