It takes your breath away to see this giant broke in half and demolished on the ground. It could be the first turbine to completely destroy it’s self in the U.S.

It is a spectacular photo. It had to pass something really serious to break down the turbine.

I believe in renewables and it is always best an accident of this kind that what happened in Harrisburg or Chernovil.

Greetings from Spain, Juanje.

Hey Mike -- I'd like to use this photo to reference the wind turbine collapse that killed a worker and seriously injured another. I work with a non-profit research institution that examines safety and health hazards in construction. Please let me know if we can use this, as it makes a tremendous impact! mwatters@cpwr.com MANY THANKS! Mary

I like this photo. Can you ask the Panoramio office for second review? This is so nice for people to know what could happen with wind mills and Panoramio should not exclude it from Google Earth.

Hello Mike--I am writing an article for my University webpage about research into structural health monitoring on wind turbines. I would love to use this photo as an example of catastrophic failure. Please email hughe297[at]umn[dot]edu or message me for more information...and thank you.--Caroline.
