So much for dinner! :)

Lots of this in Tucumcari. It makes me sad that we neglect things as much as we do, but, on the bright side, it makes for some interesting subjects.

Yeah, it was a bit of a disappointment, Margot. We'll have to settle for one of them hot dogs on the Circle K's heat rollers.

No light, but you got a good shot anyway. It shows perfectly this 'nobody-owned-area-before-the-town-starts-ambience'.

Thanks, poly. The west is chock full of these sorts of spots. Makes it fun. Thanks for stopping by.

Ya gotta start packing a little generator.

Great capture!

I've got no room, Guy. My glass tube bending machine takes up the whole back end of my truck, so I have to haul the neon gas machine in a trailer. If I have to start providing electricity, too, I'm gonna go broke. But, thanks for the visit and excellent idea.

Thanks, Tery!

i'll have some corn bread and an order of flapjacks. did you really think it was necessary to torch the place to set the mood on this one?

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on June 10, 2011

Boy!! that must have been a hot chilli!

Larry, the sacrifices I make for my hobby will remain unmentioned. Plus, I think they were out of cornbread.

You ain't kidding, Jim. lol

Wow, perfect mood you captured on this one! That is an interesting truck you captured as well. I love how the rest of the town seems to be business as usual while this unusual site sits forgotten on the outskirts.

Howdy, JF. This caught my eye pretty much for the ideas you outline there. Thanks for the visit and nice comments.

Poor old thing. I would love to own one of these - but, there's the problem of how to get it into my house. Oh well, this is so good it's L&F.
