Thank you very much Millotaurus. I liked this rail station too :)))
Greetings to Poland from Norway, Amelia
Many thanks dear Hubs. Your Y* delights me. We found Bruges to be a most charming and interesting little city - even the railway station ;)
Warm wishes, Amelia
Thank you dear Sandy. It's not too often a rail station catches the eye, but this one caught mine :))))
Маny спасибо Vasilij. Я Vert рады, что вы любили эту фотографию железнодорожная станция в Брюгге :)
Привет из Норвегии, Amelia
Thank you László. I did not expect the rail station in Bruges to look like this. I'm very happy that you liked this photo :)
Hello Bonnie Lad, thank goodness that cocktail is working! I hope you are keeping yon matron happy, otherwise she'll be down on you like a tone of bricks. That could be enjoyable ...?
I don't know when they built this station, but it's nice isn't it :)))
Ca canny noo, and dinnae munch a' thae Tunnocks! Ye can nivver tell when Ah'll tak it intae ma heid to tak a choo choo tae the Northeast :))
Hugs from sunny but chilly Norway, Amelia
Dear Jac & Willy, I'm so pleased that you both like this one - thank you. I was surprised that the rail station was so nice. Do you know when it was modernised?
Groetjes van Amelia
Haven't been in Bruges for ages, actually! One never get to visit places close by....
I got of the train there a couple of times in the past, but it didn't look to fine then!
I should get back there one day!
Hugs and another message in your box!
It's strange that one never really visits nearby places - we are the same in the UK, and miss out on some real treasures there dear Patricia.
So I guess this part of Bruges station must be quite a recent addition.
Warm hugs from grey and windy Norway, Amelia
Nice place Bruges, I remember it well getting on a train while returning to Brussels.... Nice shot and quite effective lines.
Oh, that's neat! It looks a lot more modern than the ones I was in, Amelia, and they include, Hitchin, King's Cross, and Euston, this trip. I have been trying to emulate (good word!) your work, and have one that I'll dedicate to you right now. Cheers! Theolfa
Hi Nick K, thanks for that, I'm glad you quite liked the lines ;)
Have you any idea when the station here was renovated? It looks pretty modern in parts :)
I don't know what Hitchen's like, King's Cross is being renovated and Euston is pretty drab too. It's a pity you didn't cross the road from King's Cross and pop in to have a peep at St.Pancras - that's pretty nice dear Theolfa.
Amelia, I probably assumed that the STATION was the same as above, but I am not so sure now :) I think they started to work on it in 2004, I was there in (February 2005) so I don't know what I saw :) but I can tell you it was a very cold day -8c. walking all day around Bruges, was fine but by late afternoon I think I was comatose with frost bites :) All in all it was a wonderful 3 days trip but next time we will do it in the Summer! :))
Thanks for that impressive link Nick K. So the whole place is pretty new by the looks of it! I'd love to drive down the underpass that is shown in the photo, but I have a feeling that we have 'done' Bruges now, and another short city break will be on the cards for next year :))
Warm greetings, Amelia
This perspective in conjunction with the reflection gives a great impression of speed. Kind regards, Jörn
Many thanks Jörn. I hadn't thought of the speed illusion, but now you mention it ... it seems obvious!
Greetings from England, Amelia
Amelia - This triple diagonal which leads out from the picture is really well implemented photographically. like 14 - Regards H.
I love your description here H! It is certainly not a copy and paste comment. Many thanks, warm wishes from Norway.
