Eastham Park, on the southern bank of the Mersey estuary was home to a Zoo and a funfair 100 years ago. Little evidence remains of what must have been a grand affair, apart from a few structures like this. No-one knows what happened to the animals when the Park closed. Perhaps they were set free and their descendants still roam these woods!
