Bizarre to see these old cars poking out from a sand cliff about 5m up as the wind excavates

You should see the Uists - like Steptoe's Yard there

Hi Mick I was on this beach again last week - love it here in the Western Isles. What are you up to this weekend?

Pam, Have you any idea how this one came about, I'm sure there must be a good story behind how these cars got there. I think I'll add it to my favourites.

I don't know about these particular ones, Mick, - there are others... I guess that waste disposal on the islands has been a great difficulty in the past. I have also come across old cars half-buried in the bog in Mayo.

Just found this explanation

Hi Pam,

The explanation is a novel idea, not one I've come across before.

All the best for the week ahead.
