Watendlath (May 1991)

For an illustration from around 1880 see here...

"Watendlath is a narrow upland glen, through which runs a mountain stream that issues from Blea Tarn, lying high up in the lonely fells. A hamlet consisting of two or three houses is sweetly reflected in the small tarn, the surpluses of water which escapes under an extremely rude but picturesque bridge at its foot."

The Lake District, Rev William Ford (1847)
