Wow, great picture/composition and colours Ian. LIKE! Greetings Berend

Mount Tasman is the second of the great peaks of the Southern Alps, and is surrounded by neve fields. Earlier in the morning she stood out majestically, but as the day advanced the clouds came to attend to her, surrounding her with caresses. Only a matter of minutes latter, the curtains were drawn and she was hidden from view.

Thank you, Berend. Your affirmation is always appreciated. Last year I was up there with my camera, this time it was the West Coast that drew me, but seeing the peaks from the west were moments of joy.

Hi Jeff,

If you want to get your feet on the Mt Tasman ice sometime, here is a recommended way of achieving that.

I am delighted that you like this image. It is a very attractive mountain... but the closer the better.

I love to receive Danish wishes, Peter. Thanks very much. I am honoured that you like this so much. I was so delighted to just see this mountain - one I have been on last year - from this vantage point, that creating a good composition was merely a bonus. It is one of those photos that I can say "I received".

Warmest regards from OZ.

Thank you, dear . I would have stopped the traffic for this moment. I was delighted, for most of the time the clouds enshroud the peaks. But I received this as if it were a gift.

Warm regards from Brisbane,

It could be a picture taken in Nepal. The clouds give a lot of "sacred" sentiment to the photo.

I know what you mean, Ah-Pong. There certainly is a majestic awe generated by these peaks, and the pleasant surprise of a cloud window opening gave me joy. The mood and artistic qualities of this scene also make it special for me.

Thank you for awarding this photo with the Ah-Pong ☆.

That's the no. 2 of NZ mountains, Ralph. I am sure you can imagine how excited I was when it opened up for me, especially as you have seen some of the pics from up close among the peaks and glaciers.

Thanks for the * award!

Kind regards,
