Ein wahrhaft "atemberaubender" Blick! Da sind wir(vor längerer Zeit) auch schon gestanden, das waren wirklich sehr starke Eindrücke! Wir waren jetzt in der Nähe, bei Haguenau, Hatten, etc., vom Schwarzwald war das nicht weit.

Ja, die Kathedrale ist immer wieder beeindruckend. Es war in diesem Jahr mein 2. Besuch dort, aber es wird niemals langweilig. Der Schwarzwald ist gar nicht weit von dort (und die Pfalz auch nicht). Euer Urlaub im Schwarzwald war sicher schön, zumindest vom Wetter her gesehen. Herzliche Grüße, Anne

Greetings Anne..It is good to be in your gallery once more ;>) Looking back through these earlier pages has been a delight..

I stop here to wonder at the extraordinary complexity of this incredible structure, the design of which must have posed a massive challenge for the stone-masons. The detail in each section of the outer wall is incredible..There is hardly a flat plane to be seen..

The influence such imposing buildings must have had on the population would have been over-powering..The power of the church must have posed a threat to the established over-lords whose imposing castles stood in stark contrast to the glorious ethereal structures such as this ...
