Teresa Jankowska~~~~I'm happy you enjoyed thius shot Teresa ;)

cjlin~~~Special thanks for the Y* my friend!

♦Rosa♦~~~We live in a green and pleasant land, both!

Beamish~~~thanks jim..you are quite right..I cropped it out!

John J. Slovinec, Sr…-----I'm most grateful for your generous praise John ;)

BritPlom~~~~~Much appreciated Francois :)

sugarbag1~~~A waqrm welcome David..I'm hoping that you are on the mend since your op! Yes, you are right..it's good feed for the cattle..The upland meadows seem to grow lush green grass and the cattle do very well on it, especially the sheep! I'm delighted for the Y*, thank you!

Jethrohoyt~~~~I noticed that too Jethro..the afternoon light was too harsh, so this was worth waiting for..

Neil Grimwood~~~~Good evening Neil..Every time I visit Fryup, I seem to have the place to myself..I hardly noticed the seat but as you say, the view is simply awesome!

Puna~~~~Many thanks Anand..It's a good place to be!

manfrezo~~~~These landscapes are typical of the Yorkshire topography..The colours and contrasts resulting from centuries of land management..

Michael Braxenthaler~~~I greet you warmly Michael and thank you for your thoughtful description..These dales were created by centuries of glacial activity which finally ended about 14000 years ago..those cradle shaped contours are typical features of the Yorkshire landscape!

Sarah O~~~~~I share your feelings for such places, it is so uplifting to gaze upon such beauty..a natural landscape reworked by a mutual partnership between man and god! I'm most grateful for your kind appraisal1

ButsYV~~~~~It's a privilege to share these images with you Yuri_, many thanks!

Herb Riddle~~~Of course, our preferences are based on experience Herb and it's a personal thing..I nominate this dale for it's seclusion, it's compact size and ease of access, yet it is by and large overlooked by many who visit the area! Your evaluation is much appreciated!

Alireza Javaheri~~~Greetings Ali..thanks for your appreciation!

Scarulu16~~~~I'm certain that running here would get you very fit Scarulu...In some hilly regions of the UK, Fell Running is a popular sport!

Hossein Fallah~~~~I'm happy you liked the photo Hossein, thank you!

nanoinca~~~~~~Unlike your Argentina, the UK is hilly rather than mountainous, these easily accessed upland valleys are a popular destination for hikers and those who enjoy wide open spaces..Thank you for your nice comment!

tonydanis~~~You are most welcome Tony......I value your appraisal!

Mahmoud Eskandari~~~I'm grateful for your nice comment Mahmoud!

Laurentiu Mitu---Hi! Lorenzo...It is a pleasure to receive your nice comments. many thanks!

Anupam Mukherjee~~~Many thanks for your good comment ;)

G. Romanini-----Greetings Gilvan ;) I always use manual settings and focus..this is my preference..Often the results are acceptable and occasionally I get some nice photos sometimes I fail hugely..This image pleased me;) At f/14 the depth of field is acceptable! The lens used here was the Pentax DA 16-45mm f/4-f/22..A superb little lens. My other wide angled lens is a SIGMA 10-20mm 1:4-5.6 DC..I prefer the Pentax!

Thanks for your generous appraisal ;)

Cheers

Jim
